Instagram Worthy Spots In Saint John, NB
If you’re visiting Saint John, New Brunswick and are hoping to snap some really cool pictures and videos, I’ve got you covered. Check out my recommendations below for the best Instagram worthy spots in Saint John, NB.
Waterfront Public Art: Colourful Poles On Platform
You’ll find these colourful poles right along the waterfront promenade in Saint John, NB. They’re perfect for an Instagram worthy picture because they’re unique but you can also show off the waterfront and the Bay of Fundy in your picture.

Waterfront Walkway
As you continue your walk past the colourful sticks I mentioned above, the path will curve so you face the Saint John downtown core. It’s a great spot to grab a picture with the beautiful Saint John buildings in the background.

Splash Pad Chairs
Right near the splash pad in the main park area by the waterfront are these unique orange chairs. They would be a fun place to sit for a unique picture. I recommend going in the morning so it’s not as busy.

Graffiti Art Murals
Saint John is home to a collection of beautiful public art installations that make the perfect backdrops for your Instagram or TikTok pictures. Out of all the art I did see on my local Saint John tour, I think the large mural on Grannan St. is the best spot to snap some Insta-worthy pictures.

There’s the large mural called ‘See Stories’ by Allan Ryan but if you look down the alley way directly across from the large mural, there’s another great spot for a picture. It has string lights and another mural at the very end.

Character Homes & Tree-Lined Streets
Saint John is full of beautiful character homes and tree-lined streets that make great backdrops for Instagram worthy pictures.

Area 506 Container Village
Area 506 Waterfront Container Village is a hub for great picture spots. There are lots beautifully painted shipping containers and cute spots to sit and snap an iconic picture. Below are some of my favourite options.

Unique Historic Buildings
Saint John is full of unique historic buildings. This building along Water St. is right across Area 506 and makes an incredible backdrop for social media pictures and videos.

Loyalist House
Head to the Loyalist House if you’d like to mix a bit of history into your social media pictures or videos. You can learn more about the history of the Loyalist House on a local Saint John tour.

Saint John City Market
Head to the popular Saint John City Market for a very ‘local’ picture. Make sure you look up and try to get the ceiling in your shot because of its unique connection to the history of Saint John. The ceiling is an inverted ship hull.
Garden & Parks
There are many gardens and parks in Saint John that have beautiful flowers and green space for nature-inspired pictures.

Beer Bread Restaurant
Beer Bread is a Saint John restaurant that not only has delicious food but it also has super trendy decor. The aesthetically pleasing interior design and extra tall ceilings make this a great spot to grab a bite to eat and an Instagram worthy picture. They also have a great patio outside that would work for pictures as well.

Harbour Passage Sign
The Harbour Passage sign might be a little touristy but it’s a great spot to snap a picture and show off that you’re in Saint John!

There are just a few of my favourite Instagram worthy spots in Saint John, NB but I’ll keep my eye out for more as I discover them. If you have anything to add to this list, I’d love to hear it. Please leave a comment below.
