Living Water Resort & Spa

Collingwood, Ontario is one of my favourite places to go for a weekend getaway or week long stay. Living Water Resort & Spa is a great option for a family getaway with kids, large groups, or a solo weekend to recharge.

The thing I love most about Living Waters Resort & Spa is that they have everything you need on site so if you don’t want to leave the resort, you don’t have to.

A few of their features and amenities include:

  • indoor pool with waterslide
  • indoor hot tub
  • outdoor pool
  • outdoor hot tub
  • full gym with weights, bike, treadmills
  • studio space where they host events like a sound bath
  • spa with water circuit, massage, facials, and more
  • A restaurant and bar

The amenities make Living Waters Resort & Spa such a great place to stay in Collingwood. The last time I stayed there they even had a sound bath experience available for guest, free of charge.

Living Waters Gym & Fitness Centre

I was really impressed with the gym facilities at Living Waters. It has a decent amount of equipment with a few treadmills, bikes, elliptical, free weights, and machine weights. I like that they have windows that look out to the pool. It gives you something to look at when you’re on the treadmill. I was able to watch my nieces pop out of the waterslide while getting a workout in which was nice.

I’ve had many spa treatments including massages and a facial. Both have been excellent and the practitioners were kind and calming. They were happy to make special modifications for my friend who was pregnant.

The thermal water circuit at the spa is located indoors. It’s a relaxing circuit to go through and includes things like a steam room, hot tub, cold plunge, walking water circuit, and more. I really enjoyed it. The dim lighting and the sound of the waterfall makes this experience so relaxing. I could’ve stayed in there for hours!

Living Waters Restaurant: Lakeside Grill

Lakeside Grill is the restaurant onsite at Living Waters. It’s a lovely restaurant that many people go to even if they aren’t staying at the hotel. The restaurant has an incredible view of Georgian Bay, lots of seating, upscale decor, and a patio open in the summer months. This is the only restaurant in Collingwood located on the water so that’s a great reason to visit.

  • Pro Tip: If you’re walking to the restaurant from within Living Waters, make sure you take some extra time to look at all of the local art that’s displayed in the hallway to the restaurant.

I’ve enjoyed every meal I’ve had here but especially love their Sunday brunch omelettes. They have an omelette station where the chef will make your custom omelette right there in front of you. They also have live music for Sunday brunches and throughout the week. Make sure you check their live music events schedule.

I’ve stayed at Living Waters in both the summer and winter and really enjoyed both. There’s plenty of things to do within the resort and around Collingwood.

The staff have always been friendly and welcoming, there’s plenty of parking spaces and the rooms are clean. Make sure you grab your cookie when you arrive!
